Questions and Expectations
Waiting for that morning
When…
The shroud of night slips from the head of these centuries, dark
When the clouds of grief melt
when the ocean of happiness tumbles
When the sky dances
when the earth sings like a lark
Waiting for that morning, when;
The worth of our longings today, hurt
Your value, and my price, may be less than dirt
When human dignity is not so frail
And measured on an untrue scale
Waiting for that morning, when
The day when we do not have to burn in the fire of starvation.
And the hellfire in our hearts does not burn our expectations and imagination.
When this worse-than-hell-world turns into heaven
Waiting for that Morning, When…

Answers & Responsibility
That morning through us, will arize
When the earth will turn sidewise
When from our prisons and captivity,
we shall rise.
When nests of sin will rip open
when the bonds of oppression will be broken
We will bring that morning alive.
That morning through us, will arize
That morning through us, will arize
